John deere service agreements
This is an agreement made between John Deere* and the dealer account specified on the following page (hereafter referred to as “Dealer”), with respect to fulfilling John Deere Protect™ Extended Service Plan.

The John Deere Protect program provides extended service plans for select eligible John Deere Equipment.
Requirements of Dealer Dealer agrees and understands as follows:
- To gain prior alignment and approval to sell John Deere Protect contracts from their Territory Business Manager.
- To accept the elements of the program as set forth in the Customer Contract and Dealer Administration Document, including but not limited to the required services, reimbursement process, and transferability/portability conditions.
- To fulfill all applicable John Deere Protect prepaid services (inspections, maintenance, uptime assurance, wear parts coverage) during the contract period.
- To use genuine John Deere parts and fluids for services and repairs covered under the John Deere Protect program.
- To maintain adequate inventory of rental machines to fulfill uptime assurance claims on covered equipment.
- Combines only: John Deere Protect Maintenance Plus Wear packages cannot be sold on combines used to harvest rice until such a plan is offered.
- Services Admin Portal (SvAP) is required to manage and fulfill the John Deere Protect Extended Service Plan.
- The terms and conditions of the Dealer Administration Document are subject to change, and such changes shall be issued via bulletin and shall be effective upon issuance of the bulletin.
Requirements of John Deere John Deere agrees and understands as follows:
- To reimburse Dealer at MSRP (List Price) for service parts and fluids used to fulfill John Deere Protect contracts.
- To reimburse Dealer for labor used to fulfill John Deere Protect contracts at the Dealer’s registered retail shop labor rate.
- To reimburse Dealer for inspection and uptime assurance claims at the defined rates specified for each product line in the Dealer Administration Document.
General Provision
- This Agreement may be amended by John Deere or terminated by either party upon thirty (30) days written notification to the other party. Neither party shall be entitled to any compensation or reimbursement for loss of prospective profits, sales, or other losses occasioned by the termination of this relationship.
- Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to make the Dealer an agent or employee of John Deere.
- Other agreements, not in conflict herewith, may also be in effect between John Deere and the Dealer without affecting the validity of this Agreement.
